Higher Education Consortia Announces New Advisory Board Members

The Higher Education Consortia (HEC) is pleased to announce the addition of two new Advisory Board Members: Dr. Shari Ellertson (Senior Executive Director, Institutional Effectiveness, Boise State University) and Dr. Ronald Thompson (Senior Institutional Research Analyst, University of Missouri System).
Dr. Ellertson and Dr. Thompson join our esteemed group of current HEC Advisory Board members, highly qualified educational leaders who provide guidance and insight to HEC and The Cost Study.
Dr. Shari Ellertson has more than 30 years of experience across roles in administration, teaching, research, and assessment at public universities. In addition to her current role at Boise State University, she is active in the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), including roles on the Board of Directors, Board secretary, and the Nominations and Elections Committee.
Dr. Ronald D. Thompson has been an Institutional Research Senior Analyst in the University of Missouri System’s Office of Institutional Research (UM IR) since 2012, when he began assisting with The Cost Study, which UM IR manages for the four UM campuses. Prior to joining the System Office, Dr. Thompson provided IR support for a student services support office on the University of Missouri – Columbia (MU) campus.
In partnership with HEC’s senior leadership, the Advisory Board meets quarterly to support HEC’s mission and provides guidance to improve The Cost Study’s data quality and security, maintain the highest ethical standards regarding accuracy and integrity of data use, and contribute to the refinement and innovation of data.
