The Cost Study Discontinuation Timeline

All 2024 Data Submissions Must Be Validated and Approved

The Cost Study team is working diligently to validate data submissions to the 2024 cycle. If you have not yet received your validation report, you will shortly. Please respond to any questions and concerns as soon as possible. For institutions currently participating in the 2024 cycle—as well as those finalizing submissions for prior cycles—all data submissions must be validated and approved by June 27, 2025. Submissions approved after this date may not be eligible to receive access to the Final Reports.

2024 Cycle Norms Released

Final results from the study will be available in July 2025. Available reports include the national norms and a full set of institution reports. At that time, you can also begin requesting peer analyses (standard and program-specific), dashboards, and special data requests. All results will be released through the secure, online web portal (except dashboards, which are delivered via Dropbox).

Last Day to Submit Data Requests for 2024 or Previous Cycles

HEC members (i.e., current and former participants) are also allowed to request peer analyses (standard and program-specific), dashboards, and special data requests for prior cycles in which they have participated. Peer analyses and dashboards can be requested through the web portal for cycles 2017-2024. Special data requests, including access to data prior to 2017, should be submitted to ire-cost@udel.edu. All requests—for any cycle—must be received by September 15, 2025, to be considered.

Last Day to Access the Portal and Download Institutional Data and Reports

The web portal will be available to HEC members until December 15, 2025. At that time, The Cost Study team will archive all data and shut down the portal. If you would like to retain data/reports for your records, they must be downloaded from the portal before that date. Data/reports include:

    • Red Flag Reports (copy and paste)
    • Approved Institution Report (PDF or Excel)
    • Approved Institution Report w/3-yr-avgs (copy and paste)

    • Snapshot Reports (PDF) [2022-2024 cycles only]
  • Comparative Data (2017-2024)
    • National Norms (Excel)
    • Institution lists (copy and paste, Excel)
    • Peer Analyses (Excel)

Note: Dashboards (Excel and Tableau) must be requested through the web portal; however, they will be delivered via Dropbox.
